I reckon my 2800 Octopoints for October are looking less likely.

I think it's because we don't need to charge that often so we can really pick and choose the appropriate night.

And while I was typing, an email dropped to say there's 2 hours free charging tomorrow. Hurray!

The full 2800 which is about £3.50 (or a mini Constantine/nearly a pair of socks). Oh, and the good feeling of charging when the grid is greener.

Interestingly, I've plugged in today for the free hour, but the car has only charged since 2.30.

I had a similar issue. We disconnected our zappi to add the car rather than the charger. This failed and we reconnected the charger again. Apparently data is lost with each re-connection so they can't see if you charged in those 1/2 price August slots. I raised this and they gave me a £3 credit.

I'm probably overthinking it. This greener nights octopoints rewards thing is new and I like a challenge. It'll probably all come down to pennies in the end.

How does ev charging on IOGo, when you're trying to get the greener nights octopoints bonus, work during these free sessions please? Does it have any impact on the calculation? Thanks

We spoke to several before finding the right one. Many of them came across in the same way that double glazing sales people often do. One of them even tried the 'it's only this price if you sign up now' trick. He was sent on his way. It was the local independent that we chose.

That's £14/kg. I'm buying mine direct from the local dairy farm for £7/kg. Given that's in bulk. Cutting out the middle man might be the answer.

charging slot occurs but it's a bit of a pain. I believe it's possible to sort with CT clamps at install but definitely worth discussing with your installer.

or you might not. We're on IOGo and if we get extra slots outside of the 11.30-5.30, the car drains the battery as well as pulling from the grid. It's fine during the cheap night slot as we schedule the battery to charge throughout. You can work around by force charging the battery when a cheap...

We've had our system nearly 3 years. We got a 5.2kWh battery and I regret it often (but there was a wait for the bigger one and I was impatient). If you've already got a home ev charger, check whether the setup of the system is going to allow the battery to drain into the car. You might want this...

Good idea. The transition to varifocals is way trickier than the transition from an ice car to an ev!

I'm on my 3rd or maybe 4th pair. They do take a bit of getting used to. Takes a lot of head tilting to get it right.

Well, Sheffield is known for its hills. This was a relatively short but mainly downhill journey. The journey back from the farm where I supply brownies is pretty much major downhill all the way so I'll check the stats on that tomorrow.

It's great to have a car with range that has a 2 in the hundreds column. Nissan Bradford were amazing. Bye, bye chademo. Never did find that mythical charging cable in the boot. I'm pleased to report that the app works better with the Ariya than it did with the Leaf.

I'm not convinced about this 'no rear wiper' idea. Not in the UK anyway. It seems to be becoming more common.

With those figures you'll nearly be driving at 1p per mile.
