A brown bird with black mask and yellow belly and yellow tail tips. Its young age determined by the lack of the reddish wing tips seen on adults. It probably actually hates the weekend with all the people in its habitat but who is to say what birds think. Not me, but it’s so much fun anthropomorphizing animals. That’s why we have a word for it.

Today my Bird of the Day is the Cedar Waxwing. This young bird was looking down over the path and looking forward to the weekend, probably. 🪶 #itsabird

I found some used in great condition that made it a lot more affordable. I tried some of the local shops first and when they didn’t have inventory went to an online option.

Very scary and with so many already out of power it could really delay restoration efforts.

Twin Cities folk, I strongly urge you to get flashlights and batteries ready and make other preparations for another round of storms tonight. If the current forecast holds it might get a bit rocky.
