When we do this we realise that providing whole class instruction in the form of levelled groups is skipping Tier 1 entirely and moving everyone in the class straight to Tier 2. The word bug has truly hit us. An A to Z retrieval activity generated a question about the etymology of X-ray. One quick google later and we had our answer.

They felt it was Italian because of the illegal i at the end. Right on both accounts! Confetti was originally small sweets thrown during Italian carnivals.
