The long version we'll tell later, but the short version is this. In an attic, in his late great-uncle's house, @jon.inkle.co found a locked trunk. It took twenty years to open. Last summer he did.

It's the intonation, I agree. For me, Excuse me is the scary version of sorry. When somebody comes at me with an excuse me, there is a good chance I'm in some version of trouble

I never thought of that, but you're right, it's a very common conversation starter. But it's also liberally used when bumping or getting in the way of someone, the brits say sorry a lot! But do they mean it? I lived ther 15 years, and I'm still not sure

I think the only reprint I ever had was at the beginning of Pretty Deadly so it means a lot. Moreover considering this one, precisely, is embarrassingly personal and not that easy to read.
