I missed Manhattan. I didn't realize how much I did. It is a privilege to live so close that I'm just an hour away. It will always be my city, no matter where I move someday.

I think it's time to reread my Clerval story and pick it apart lol I feel like it's been half a year--it may have fresh eyes now.

And now the pain of returning to my world--to this small corner of a country at war with itself and others. It's just so strange. I felt Ireland's heart for just a moment and it made me miss her terribly.

It made me homesick for a place I've never lived. I could feel the same pull--the same energy I felt when I first stepped foot on her isle. It felt so much like a home. Far more deeply than this place has ever felt like home.

I did another guided journey wondering if the Mórrígan had something to tell me again. Instead I found myself facing a large, moss-covered stone with ogham on it. I couldn't read it but I felt it's connection. I don't know a better way to describe it. I knew it was of Ireland.

2006 vs 2025. Nearly 20 years of growth in both skill and technology. Anyone can draw. It takes years of practice and patience but anyone can.
And it shows how long I've been drawing Leetah and ElfQuest cause I was drawing it even before that one.

These two may be the last for today. But wow what a random wave of creative power I haven't felt in a long time .
And while the two of them with Tyleet is so soft as well, I immediately thought of how these two were in the very beginning.

Leetah fits for The Empress so well. I have no idea why I'm just churning these sketches out rn. Who knows of they'll ever be colored.

ElfQuest also DID start a tarot project years ago but abandoned it--which I'm surprised I only just learned.

More Rochelle Goyle and Deuce Gorgon??? Idk why I've been drawing them, and just Rochelle, so much lately.
I imagine this scene is one of those "almost kiss but we shouldn't" trope that is only good in fiction lol but hence why I set it in Scaris.
They deserved more and I'll die on that hill.

It may never see the light of day again but I wrote it. I do want to go in and change something anyway but kind of don't see the point.

I finished Henry's story months ago. I sent it to a lot of people since then. Not a single person has told me they've finished it. It's only just 50k words. It takes like 2 hours to read. So basically I'm gonna take this to mean it is as boring as I feared. But hey. I wrote it.

This apparently angered me more than I realized. So, tldr: Elizabeth Lavenza has a characterization and it's a good one. I'll fight for her the same way I'll fight for Henry. E Harlander is NOT E Lavenza and that's ok but don't imply Shelley gave E Lavenza no character.

As someone who has written Elizabeth Lavenza, she's an engaging character filled with kindness. She's clever enough to go toe to toe with Victor and kind enough to raise a family with grace. After Caroline's death, it is Elizabeth who steps up as a motherly figure to the two younger Frankensteins.

Yes the characters are more reserved and tend to the romantic but that doesn't mean they don't have character/personality. Elizabeth swings into a deep depression after the events with Justine and William yet finds strength to pull out of it

Goth does a fantastic job playing whatever character was written for her, but it isn't Elizabeth Lavenza. Which I'll give GDT cause she is Harlander in this, not Lavenza. But to imply that Shelley, a woman, did not give any of her female characters a personality is just insulting to me.

I saw a video saying GDT gave Elizabeth a character in the new film??? And? Tell me you've not read the book without telling me you haven't read the book. I'm sorry being kind, forgiving, and effeminate are not suitable characteristics to you but she DOES have a characterization in the book.

Before I forget: I was playing Quick Play in Overwatch, which I rarely do, launched DVa's mech up at the enemy flying Mercy and still managed to get her and Widowmaker. We didn't win the match but that tops all my PotGs against AI. That was so funny

I had a dream about my childhood friend/first crush and then saw the ice cream we used to eat in the market...so I bought it. I always think I'll get past the strange "what-ifs" of that situation but I still think of it from time to time. It's random and rare but it's always odd when it strikes.

Still thinking about Frankenstein 🤣 I want to read it again now so by Nov 7th I am prepared with comparisons and my thoughts

I can't seem to wrap my brain around Frankenstein and what my thoughts are. They're so scattered. It was good! I just feel like I have more to say on it. I'd like to watch it a few more times to really determine things.
