Politicians do not deserve a pass for their very own actions. Fascism has no place on Turtle Island. The systemic rise of misogyny, transphobia and queerphobia, racism, police and state violence, and attacks on the rights of immigrants, workers, unions, etc. cannot be ignored. Attacks on civil liberties -particularly through the use of the "notwithstanding clause", as proposed by Pierre Poilievre and his far-right friends - will endanger all fundamental rights recognized by Canadian courts over the past 40+ years. Let's fill up downtown Montréal together and send a strong message: we will never accept living under a Trumpist government, whether that'd be under Trump, Musk, or Poilievre. Refusons d'accorder aux politicien nes carte blanche pour leurs actions. Ici, le fascisme, ça ne passe pas. La montée systémique de la misogynie, de la transphobie et des queerphobies, du racisme, de la violence policière et étatique, et les attaques sur les droits des personnes immigrantes, des travailleur-ses, des syndiqué-es, etc. ne peuvent être ignoré-es. Les attaques sur les droits fondamentaux - notamment à travers l'usage de la «clause dérogatoire» proposée par Pierre Poilievre - mettra en danger l'ensemble des droits fondamentaux reconnus par les tribunaux canadiens durant ces 40+ dernières années. Faisons barrage dans le centre-ville ensemble, et envoyons un message fort: jamais n'accepterons-nous de vivre sous un gouvernement trumpiste, et ce, que ce soit sous Trump lui-même, Musk, ou Poilievre.
