I remember thinking at first that yeah, this is fun, but it seems like it might be a lot of easy jokes and I dunno how long it'll keep me

and then they did the flashbacks to Stede's childhood

and then Stede got teary at the bow and said "my family's at sea now"

and I went "oh fuck"

I hadn't ever been in a fandom before. I'd been a fan of things, certainly, even things that had consumed my life and shaped me in immeasurable ways, but OFMD was the first media to drag me by the throat to a keyboard

I've loved writing these characters more than anything

apparently it's the three year anniversary since the show aired and I just wanted to take a moment to feel some nostalgia

that summer was genuinely one of the best I've ever had

it was so exciting and fun to be part of this growing fandom

One of the worst things Stede ever did though was insult Roach’s orange cake. Sickening

totally ok to not want to see him yet, but I'd suggest communicating with him either way - either (if the endgame you desire is to repair the friendship) to say that you'd like to talk about it more but you aren't ready just yet or to say that you just want to be done (if that's what you want)

Jack let out a breath and for once he looked genuinely worried. Izzy's heart thumped uncomfortably in his chest. It was never a good sign when Jack was serious.

There was a man, probably, someone who wasn't Jack, but that was the closest Izzy could get to identifying him.

There'd been the stink of piss and his hand had possibly ended up in something slimy, but that didn't rule out a single pub in the Republic, nor did the-
