Yes I realised after posting they meant money in 'contributing more'. Silly me for assuming contributing meant to....society as a whole 🙄

And how do you measure 'contributes less'? I'd argue a support worker contributes more than most. I also dislike the term low skilled as a lot of these jobs are highly skilled just not in areas society appreciates. It's depressing all round.

Today programme Justin Webb told a US guy, (I didn't catch who he was!) after he was telling the government off for not joining this illegal war, that one of the reasons was Iraq and the lessons learnt from it. Manchester had always been a radical city, left leaning. It also helps that the Green candidate was very likeable and seemed to actually care about her constituents!

Manchester is a different beast to the rest of the UK. Reform will unfortunately do very well elsewhere. But for now I'm very happy and grateful to Gorton/Denton people who did not vote in a Reform MP 🎊

Totally. All round the cycle paths meant that I actually *did* cycle in Manchester, regularly, when previously I would not have dared. Cycling through Rusholme just meant going really slowly to avoid the ambling pedestrians!

When I lived there they were amazing *but* could have been much better designed especially through Rusholme - yeesh

She was in charge of 'pedestrianising' Deansgate as well wasn't she? But didn't do it correctly/legally, bus companies sued MCC and it never happened. Waste of time and money. She was v bad at that job
