This is why I always try to give to people directly rather than give blindly to a charity. If someone has a GoFundMe or a side hustle and I have the spare funds to give, that's what I do.

They probably DID want them before the partnership, but now that they've just siphoned off all their worthwhile stars, that puts the kibosh on that.

It honestly feels like TNA is on a crash course to finally succumbing to the law of averages this year. I don't even see WWE buying them out either. It feels like Anthem is just gonna pull the plug with a whimper and over 20 years of history will just be nothing but a tape library.

I'll keep up the Caddy hype, then. I'm gonna be hyped up forever if they score enough points to beat at least one team on merit, let alone if they beat more than just Aston Martin. I'm excited to have 11 teams on the grid in general, but I'd love more of them if possible. All the teams!

And I expected hiccups from a new team, but as long as they weren't "We didn't bring a complete car to the track for the first race" type stuff like HRT had, I'm content. Just give me a team that looks like they aren't out of place. So far, they have at least achieved that.

Not gonna lie, even if Cadillac won't set the world on fire in season 1, just seeing them being ahead of teams and not super far off of FP1 and FP2 times ahead of them and looking like they belong makes me happy.

Hopefully they keep proving my faith in them right and shock folks.

Indeed on both fronts. I probably shouldn't bring up Caddy so much like I have been lately, but...... god, I love that we have a new team on the grid that happens to be an American team. Plus, seeing Checo and Bottas back on the grid is a bonus.

At this point, it's not just a question of if they even make 107%, but how far off of 107% they are. That is a yikes. I suddenly don't feel so bad about Cadillac taking the slow and steady approach to testing data.

It really is. I've got a Hornets game lined up to go see with a guy I used to work with (we've both moved on from that company) in a couple weeks. Looking forward to that.

I understand. I've managed to stay in contact with a lot of people I used to go to high school and church with and it feels great to say I've got contact with them. Also feels good to have a group of gamers I play at my LGS with every chance I can.

The first team of NCAA Showdown 2025-26, Cleveland State, is done.

Just for reference, the lowest overall team in the NBA from 2024-25 based on my formulas and roster construction was the Wizards at a 66 overall.

Cleveland State from this season? 29 overall.

If the only trade they make is the Roy trade, do you want Brad and Berube fired out of a cannon to the nearest airport? How many trades would Brad have to do to at least stay on until the end of the season? Does Berube stay till the end of the season or get fired?

Indeed! I feel some semblance of satisfaction from that with how many times that fanbase tried to excuse them getting away with everything and getting beneficial calls that helped them.

Officiating is bad and they're finally getting to experience that themselves instead of everyone else doing it.

Indeed. It is rather odd that Berube came in and things immediately just stopped flowing for the near 70 goal scorer. That's gotta be a deployment problem.

As an outsider, I'm happy to blame him as well. I know this would be the 4th coach of the Matthews era, but you gotta send Berube to TV before the season ends.

That's excellent news. I'm with you that they picked the perfect driver lineup to start out with. If anyone is gonna get a new team random points in their first season, it's those two. Given what tomfoolery it took to get on the grid to start with, I'll take just looking like a real team in year 1.

That's what I figured. Just as long as they don't look out of place like the 2010 new teams did, I'm happy. Give me occasional points and I'll be even more happy.

If I wasn't working on NCAA Showdown 2025-26 Season, I'd be all in on watching F1 right now. As it stands, I'm just hoping I hear good things about Cadillac.

Man. I wish I was up in Canada to do this. Shame they can't get teleportation to work somewhat well.

Same. Sony at least still has the built in brand power to survive dumb decisions. Same for Nintendo. Same for Steam, really. Microsoft does not have that.

That's the main thing. It's a good point that the Wii U successor was just a relief from the Wii U itself, but it did help that the NX showed a lot more promise to save Nintendo's bacon than the new XBOX will for Microsoft. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
