30.07.2025 19:00 โ ๐ 958 ๐ 351 ๐ฌ 9 ๐ 12I welcome the governmentโs move to recognise Palestinian statehood, but it must be unconditional and immediate.
In Gaza, Israel is killing one person every 12 minutes, and famine is continuing to mount.
We need sanctions, an arms embargo, and recognition now.
Recognition of the state of Palestine should not be used as a bargaining chip. It should have happened months ago.
We also need far greater action to stop the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, including fully ceasing arms sales and implementing sanctions against the Israeli cabinet.
Rewatching Kaos and, whilst I still assume there's a big asterisk around in what capacity she's gonna be playing the role, Billie Piper really could go hard as the Doctor.

Which amazing shows, other than Sluts With Consoles by @dogmouththeatre.bsky.social should we make sure to check out?
Love a bit of new writing, performance art, and immersive or gig theatre too. Recommend away!

Absolutely not a silliness too far!! Lady M doesn't have anywhere near as many speeches as you might expect from her impact on the play but she dominates when she does speak. When I've finished it you'll have to try it and see what you think ;)

The nav bar shows two purple buttons ('New Dada!' and 'Log out!') with a welcome header underneath ('Welcome, shakespeare!'). A section displays 'Your saved Dadas', with two listings. The first reads 'Comedy of Errors without Angelo, featuring Hamlet from Hamlet, with the speeches shuffled within each scene'. The second reads 'Macbeth with every speech shuffled'.
Getting closer... ๐
(I'm so excited about this. I think it's the silliest thing I've ever made.)

15.07.2025 06:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0all writers secretly wish their closest loved ones would earnestly tell them 'you should write your truth' (instead of what really happens which is, for some reason, your colleagues at your completely banal day job going 'hahaha you should write about this place, that'd make a great story')

03.07.2025 11:13 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Pro-tip: if you're building something to randomise Shakespeare plays, make sure you test it with someone who knows the histories, and will therefore spot immediately that, er, half the characters are (unintentionally) missing. Thanks @realbengilbert.bsky.social!

27.06.2025 11:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Fave so far has been:
- shuffle speeches but keep act/scene order intact
- add a character from a second play
- second play has extra scene in Act 3
- added character spends a whole scene talking to themselves
Building an app to randomise the text of Shakespeare plays and it's producing some v entertaining results.
