Texas A&M helped me thrive as a transgender person. Now, it's complicated. A mostly good college experience is hard to square with the school that exists now.

Fair and I mostly agree about today. But we’ve all seen what Solanke is capable of, for example. He was a key part of our play last season and today he basically vanished. I just tend to think issues like this lie somewhere other than “shit players”.

Plenty of us complain about Dragusin and Palhinha. If the intent is to criticize other players too, let’s be specific about who’s underperforming and why. I for one cannot muster something like “everyone is shit” because that’s just not true.

Has anyone counted how many times Richy scored our only goal in a defeat? I feel like the number is high.

OFFS. When Iran tried to interefere in 2020, researchers caught them and called them out. Then the Benz-Weiss-Taibbi-Musk-Jordan-Trump axis labeled those researchers "censors" ... and set about defunding them and dismantling their organizations.

That scoreline looks terrible mostly because of Gray and Palhinha playing out of position. Obviously it hurts but I don’t see reasons to be very mad at anyone in particular.

Very excited to see this out at @bjpols.bsky.social! In this article, I show that contemporary political news coverage makes it challenging for readers to learn information that is helpful for democratic accountability, even for very politically engaged audiences.

A brief summary:

My question, as ever, is why this should apply to TikTok and China specifically (even without systematic evidence of influence ops) while nothing of this sort is advocated for, you know, any other platforms where we have solid proof of algorithmic manipulation.

Long but detailed thread first about violations of law and then inhumane treatment of immigrants. Ends with how you can support.

Way too many times in recent history that a Spurs manager would throw other people or the club under the bus, when they are under pressure.

Ange and Poch feel like exceptions now (tho one could say Nuno was likable too).

DHS Hunts Down 67-Year-Old U.S. Citizen Who Criticized Them in Email The Department of Homeland Security is using a little-known tool to go after its critics.

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.
