Even as I say that, I’m keenly aware that due to my privileged status in this nation, emotional fatigue is probably the worst of it for me, but I also don’t want to totally dismiss that weight.
I had to turn the news off today— just for a day.
You thought this was going to be a post about plants! But it’s not.
We’re nearly one week into this new bizarro world, and I’m already feeling the emotional fatigue. It wears us down to be inundated by bad news over which we have almost no control.
Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
