It’s important when talking about V that you don’t point out the fact that Robert Englund AKA Freddy Krueger played sweet, cuddly character Willy in the series. Everyone knows that. It’s like saying the one guy out of ZZ top without a beard is called Beard. Yep we know.

LOVED V. I actually got the sticker book which got even less filled than most as I had nobody to swap with. I did have friends but nobody that was watching weird late night lizard sci fi and spending their pocket money on stickers about it. That book will still be in my mum’s attic somewhere. Damn.

Thinking about it now that was a big clue that they were actually reptiles but I was 9 years old and it completely blew my mind like nothing before when the big lizard reveal came about. That stuff never happened on Starsky and Hutch, The Fall Guy or The Dukes of Hazard.

Wow 41 years. Loved this show never forget the shock as Diana’s (think it was Diana?) jaw opened wider and impossibly wider before she stuffed a rabbit (or some similar sized cuddly furry creature) in there and we saw her throat grotesquely bulge as the little critter went down her throat.
