My take: Open AI should be re-routing large shares of its profits to public education systems who are routinely being defunded and who are forced to reckon with the giant educational and socio-economic schism that Open AI created.

None of the articles on AI and schools have even hinted at the idea that salary floors for public school teachers should be much, much higher, especially if teachers seem resigned to integrate and adjust their entire pedagogy around a giant for-profit company.
