It looks like a Reduvius personatus (a masked hunter) to me. Their bite can be pretty painful, sort of like a bee sting, but this one looks like it’s still just a baby. Best to put him back outside.

In my absence I added a few more #tarantulas to the critter room.

Meet my Caribena versicolor! They’re only about 2cm for now and will lose their pretty blue color as they grow into a fluffy, multicolored adult.

I managed to get a picture just moments before they flew at a juicy meal 🥰

It was this one, this little wouldbe escape artist. A beautiful black and gold stripped Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue tarantula) hanging out on the wall of its enclosure over some substrate.

Acanthoscuria geniculata aka the Brazilian White Kneed (a furry black tarantula with white stripes on its legs) sitting on top of cork bark.

Rehoused spiders today and only had one anxiety-inducing escape attempt 😮‍💨

When I hear music...

A blurry blob. Maybe it’s a spider, maybe it’s some moss, it might even be dirt? Really who could say?

Eventually I will get better at macro photography & take really incredible pictures of tiny little creatures, but for right now every blurry picture I take makes me laugh.
