Believe it or not, this post and its replies caused the wayforward pr staff to go into panic mode. After a few people posted it hey timed out anyone who mentioned the quality of the release yesterday and are now lying to peoples faces regarding the manufacturing process and technical details.

allow me to expand apon that last point;

only a third of the 32mb cartridge contains game data. the rest of it hold all the uncompressed full color bitmaps the game uses for character portraits, credits pinups, and some of the larger set pieces. Most of this content was culled for space.

That isnt preserving anything, thats jingling keys in the faces of collectors and long standing fans of Shantae

this entire release has been one mistake after another.
first the price,
then the delays,
then the game itself being cut down to a third of its original plan,
and the the quality of the release as a whole being subpar.
we didnt even get half of what was planned. All cut for fanservice.

I want to be happy, y'all. Today is a good day for us Shantae fans. We got the impossible release of Risky's Revolution, and I'm excited to play it.

But I am equally angry at @limitedrungames.com's handling of its release. 3 long shipping delays and the ROM was done so dirty! I hope the cart works!

@scottrogers.bsky.social is there anything you can tell me about this level? It looked like a cathedral type setting. The 2nd area opens after you eat all the pac dots in the first, then you get teleported to an open section I don't have after you solve a puzzle. Do you remember the level's name?

Opening level for ghost zone... Maybe. Might have been replaced with a romp through pac mans house at some point. Lighting was updated at some point after the playstation museum prototype.
