Most of the people that follow me here probably agree with me that trans women should absolutely be allowed to participate in women's sports. But for once, I want to hear from people who disagree with me. Why should trans women be banned from women's sports? What are your concerns?

I did a quick search for pro-democracy groups in northern IN. I found Michiana Alliance for Democracy. I found an email address and a FB page, but no URL.

If we are SMART about the resistance, we will be more effective and there will be less temptation to resort to violence.

Learn about reforms, like #RankedChoiceVoting, #BallotInitiatives, #TermLimits, #BetterBallotAccess, #OpenPrimaries, #CampaignFinanceReform, #NationalPopularVoteInterstateCompact. Then educate others about these NON-PARTISAN reforms.

Make sure that your voter registration is up-to-date and that you haven't been purged from the system. Find out if the requirements for registering and voting have changed in your area.

Join the effort to make our elections free and fair. Support the work of organizations like Indivisible, Represent Us, and the Peoples Cause at the national level, and similar organizations at the state level. Remember, elections still happen at the state level.

Continue to put pressure on your electeds, at the state and Federal levels. Show up to town halls when they happen. Voice your opinions when you go. Continue to make phone calls, send emails, and visit their field offices when you can.

If you can afford it, give extra financial support to organizations that deserve it, such as Planned Parenthood, PBS, the Trevor Project, the ACLU, and Democracy Docket to name a few.

Rather than more protests in the streets, I want to see more financial boycotts of big corporate retailers, like Walmart, Amazon, & Target (because of their policies). I would continue to support Costco. We can find stuff we need second hand, which would help us save $$ in this tanking economy.
