This month focused on kidney donors and all of the amazing clinical research our kidney transplant team is doing!

We love our biannual "Renal Rheum" Conference with our UNMC Rheumatology colleagues!

Each conference reviews complex clinical cases and with the kidney biopsy findings presented by Dr. Kirk Foster of our pathology department! Here are images from this month's conference.

Happy National Dialysis Technician Recognition Week!!!

We are so grateful for the excellent dialysis technicians who care for our patients @nebraskamed.bsky.social and in the outpatient clinics we go to throughout the region!!

Dr. Ravipati gave a great talk on the "Intersection of Rheumatology and Nephrology" at the Nebraska Rheumatology Society 2025 Fall Meeting last week!!!

Our team crashed the event to learn and enjoy some time with our amazing UNMC Rheumatology colleagues (+ some former neph fellows showed up)!

We had a great Renal Potpourri conference to end September with Dr. Hoenemeyer reviewing ANCA-associated vasculitis, Dr. Wekesa discussing hypokalemia-associated nephropathy, and Dr. Langewisch bringing the team through how to approach the common question of "can I stop pred?"

She covered everything from "what to do if someone comes to you wanting to donate a kidney" to the details of post-transplant care!

We were treated to a great lecture by Dr. Jacob Hettenbaugh on hepatorenal syndrome as part of the UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Core Curriculum this week!
