The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

He's not sacrificing an entire group of people for political reasons because he feels pressured. He is very securely the governor of the biggest state in the country. We can assume he says and does hateful things because he's hateful.

One major revelation for me was that I had not actually seen Doubt before, so my presumed re-watch was actually a first time viewing. A lot of food for thought and memorable performances, glad I finally saw it (for real).

It is very hard for me to take in characters doing distinctive accents without (poorly) mimicking them, so the fact that I didn't do this whole podcast trying to replicate Meryl Streep's Bronx nun voice is a personal achievement. Amy Adams holds her own, which was my goal with Dane and Louis.
