I appreciate that, it is frustrating!!

Speaking only to my experience, I've had this happen with a few papers where they found it really difficult to secure reviewers! However most were great for keeping in contact, that kept the anxiety at bay!! I did pull one as there was zero communication,sent elsewhere - all published since.
