I’m not a fundamentalist Christian theologian but shouldn’t using AI to resurrect Charlie Kirk be considered witchcraft?

How is that Ed Gein show? I’ve avoided it because it’s got two things I don’t like - serial killers and Charlie Hunnam

That would definitely ruin a night at the movies.

I need to rewatch the trilogy.

The first one was shot here and our local media was full of Jamie Lee sightings

Feels like the David Gordon Green Halloween trilogy is already forgotten. Young horror fans just getting into the genre in the last couple of years didn’t get to experience the Corey Cunningham discourse

β€œIn fact, nobody wants to go fishing anymore,” Mr. Trump said, prompting laughter. β€œNo one wants to do anything near the water. They might have a beautiful boat and they might as well get rid of their boat because they’re very nervous.”

He’s openly admitting the US is targeting innocents for death

Quote this with the first four Horror movies that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head.

The Black Cat (1934)
Night of the Living Dead
Psycho
Cat People (1942)

Even people who accused the Trump’s GOP of being Nazis back in 2016 were mostly being figurative. Not really expecting we’d get the literal swastika bring back the concentration camps Nazis

Interview: Kevin Tighe on β€˜One Battle After Another’ and a great career on stage and screen The great character actor talks about his return to the screen in 'One Battle After Another' and a half-century journey in the business.

quite touched by this kevin tighe interview in @thereveal.bsky.social.

the conversation gives him space to reflect on his extensive career and the ways PTA made allowances for his disability on set of β€œone battle after another” and didn’t shy from casting him once the disability was known.

I listened to a podcast interview with Chase Infiniti and it felt like she was under some studio directive to not even try to talk about what the movie’s about

I wish they'd kept the abandoned Circuit City part of Jeffrey's narrative in Roofman. It would've made the movie more elegaic, a hint of the future for Toys R Us

I watched Lurker, a nightmare cringe comedy set in the LA music scene, kind of Friendship, All About Eve and King of Comedy mixed together but even more cringe. About our parasocial relationship with celebrity and desire to be in with the in crowd. Very good movie but definitely not for everyone

Do you listen to the Fun for All Ages podcast? Jeff Lieberman’s been in the last couple of episodes talking about Cold War anxiety atom age monster films. He told a funny story about how he was so freaked out by The Incredible Shrinking Man he was worried he might start shrinking

With all the sucking up to Bari Weiss that Woody Allen’s been doing lately he must be hoping that David Ellison will give him financing. Pump up the Paramount subscriber count with the promise of new Woody Allen

Yeah I can’t remember what it was on, Shudder? But it was from that lockdown period when things were just really weird. Remember that really terrible zoom table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High with Shia LaBeouf going full method as Spicoli?

Got a trial subscription to MUBI to watch Lurker and they’ve got Hollywood 90028 as well, a movie I’ve heard a lot about but never had the chance to see. MUBI’s also got my two favorite films of the last couple years, Eephus and Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World so it’s MUBI time
