Yorkshire County Cricket Supporters' Association

Thank you to Jasmine Nicholls, Liam Holgate and Howard Ferguson for attending our meeting yesterday. It was fascinating to hear from those we see/hear from on a matchday but don't really know the ins and outs of their roles. We were able to takeaway lots of interesting nuggets of information.

This Sunday (19th) we are hosting our first winter meeting: Behind The Scenes @yorkshireccc.bsky.social with Jasmine Nicholls, Liam Holgate and Howard Ferguson joining us.

The meeting starts at 2:30 PM at Headingley Parish Hall. Please note that there is no longer vehicular access from Otley Road.

The YCCSA is sad to report the death of Veronica Denby.
Veronica was a founding member of the Association and was a committee member for several years. She will be remembered especially by those who visited the Kabin where she was a familiar face for so many years. 1/2

Following on from our winter meeting with @owenjervis1.bsky.social, this is a great opportunity for members to go and watch some Roses disability cricket! Free entry at Headingley for a double header on the 4th September. All are welcome!

We are open for bookings for our post-season lunch! Please note that we are hosting it at Sand Moor Golf Club, Alwoodley as our usual venue is unable to host us. Please find the menu below, as well as what our new venue looks like. If you would like to book, please message for details.

A good amount of money was raised on the night which will help the club, especially the young players.

We are holding our annual Scarborough quiz night in the marquee on the ground tonight , 7:30 for a 8:00 start. It'll be hosted once again by the amazing @jonathandoidge.bsky.social , and as things stand the Yorkshire team is Lyth, Bean, Revis and White.

£2.50 on the door, all are welcome!

Next week, we have our annual Scarborough quiz. Please note the change of date and venue: it is now on 30th July (at the end of day 2) and is going to be held in the marquee on the ground. Pay on the door, tickets are £2.50 each. Please spread the word about the changes! See you there!

We also held our annual 'Cally' Scarborough meal at Taylor's Bar & Kitchen in the North Bay. It was well attended, and as ever the quality of the food was superb.

We had a great first week at Scarborough!

We presented Adam Lyth and Fin Bean with their award for the Outstanding Performance from the 2024 season (their 307 run partnership vs Gloucestershire), and Harry Duke with Young Player of the Year for 2024.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are pleased to announce that we have now secured the use of the hospitality marquee at @ScarboroCricket for our annual Quiz Night and that the event will now be held there on Wednesday 30th July rather than at the Railway Club on Thursday 31st.

We were donated three printed tickets for the Chesterfield T20 this Sunday, but we haven't found any takers yet. Now the game has sold out, we are asking if anyone would like them. All we're asking for is a donation to the Supporters Association. Please message if you want them.

Great news, there is enough demand to produce match completed scorecards from the test match. We will be selling them at future Yorkshire home games, men's and women's, from the kabin at Headingley or our stall at York and Scarborough. We can post them out too, just get in touch.

We are gathering interest to see who would like a completed scorecard from the test match. If we do produce them, you can collect one at Yorkshire matches; we could also send them to you (with the postage cost).

Looking forward to seeing Headingley packed out in the beautiful sunny weather across the weekend, and hopefully we'll have a competitive test match to enjoy.

In addition, the Supporters' Association have produced the scorecards for the game. They'll be on sale from the Kabin, and perhaps from volunteers at turnstiles, for just £1.

The Kabin can be found behind the North East Stand scoreboard, up from the Long Room door.

All proceeds support @yorkshireccc.bsky.social players, women's and men's, first teamers right down to the age groups where hopefully there are a lot of future England stars learning their trade, following in the footsteps of Root, Brook and many others.

Just popped up to Headingley this afternoon to make finishing touches to the Kabin before the Test Match. We will be open throughout the game. Why not pop by and say hi? We sell Yorkshire and England themed souvenirs at 'pocket money' prices which might take your fancy. #ENGvIND

Nearly time for the inaugural York T20! We will be having a stall at the ground, selling a range of Yorkshire themed souvenirs. If you're going to the game feel free to pop by the stall.

The Kabin will be open before play, and at some games scorecards could potentially be bought from volunteers at both turnstiles.

The kabin also has a range of Yorkshire themed souvenirs sold at 'pocket money' prices which can be purchased alongside scorecards!
