I drew this self portrait after we had a big hacker attack that erased our servers, and we could identify that the attack came from China. I can still feel their breath on my neck.

This self-portrait is me with my daughter, Susie, 28 years ago, in a comic I did that ran for about a year in the weekly "TV Times" magazine in the UK and a similar national TV guide type magazine in Australia. Notice the old TV, and old land-line phone, and young Susie.

Here's another old self-portrait -from back when I had a beard and I got my marijuana license. Now you don't need a license (in California). That's progress, I suppose. This ran as a full page in our local Santa Barbara Independent and it features my wife, Peg and son, Buster.

France Cartoons is collecting self portraits of cartoonists, which has me rummaging through my drawers. This is me from Trump's first term when I had a white beard. People are still asking me "What happened to the beard?" Trump hasn't changed, though.

Here is a self portrait I did 50 years ago, in 1976, when I was 19 years old and a student at Santa Barbara City College. This is pencil on Graphix Duoshade paper (which I miss). Yes, that's what I looked like. That's how we all dressed in the 1970s.

This is my new cartoon for if Proposition 50 passes on Tuesday. (That's the California flag with the bear mooning the Republicans.) I expect that Prop 50 will win, so I drew this in advance. I decided not to give it a title mentioning prop 50; maybe that was a mistake.

I drew a syndicated comic/panel with Tribune 30 years ago, called TRUE! Interesting that so many of them still look fresh. I've been animating them and thinking of bringing back the evergreens as an animated e-book.

I recently went to the World Humor Awards in Italy. It is split between competition/editorial cartoonlike cartoons and caricatures, and has a kind of caricature artist culture, unusual for me. This nice local fellow, Marco Gambarelli just sent me a photo. See the video: youtu.be/ZZPaXJ4IsAo

This is a black and white oldie about White House environmental policy. You might miss it, but the AI is treating the smokestacks like cigars, burning down to the White House roof. I thought that was interesting, so I like this one.

Here's today's new cartoon. Thanks to Joe Wos for this very nice gag. I considered putting Trump hair on the predator fish, but without the hair the cartoon is universal and evergreen.

Here one I found from 35+ years ago as I was rummaging around. This is packaging art for a window box for a Fraggle Rock vehicle (I think) so the perspective is different on different sides of the box, and there's a big hole for the window and space for type. Memories in the garage.
