Zahra, your name will always be with me, and wherever I am, I will carry your voice to the world.

Once more, let’s chant from the bottom of our hearts.
Let’s dance on the grave of the criminal regime of the Islamic Republic, shout for joy from the depths of our hearts for freedom, and cry for our loved ones who were taken from us.

I'm waiting for a great gathering of Iranians in Iran...

No matter where we are, let’s come back again to the streets of Iran.

Human rights are universal, inalienable, and apply to every person. To deny them anywhere is to fail humanity everywhere.

IRANIAN LIVES MATTER!

And it is not only Zahra...

Every person killed is a wound in my heart...

Each one was loved by a family
Each one was someone’s hope
There were thousands of Zahras
They were killed in brutal ways

Her name was Zahra.
She was my friend.

She was killed during the January 2026 crackdown in Iran.
Independent reports suggest 30,000–36,500 people were killed within two days (Jan 8–9)

Biophysical modeling is a key tool to derive mechanistic insights into the brain. These models are governed by biologically meaningful parameters (unlike artificial neural networks), but the dirty secret ... 1/N

I would recommend that you insist your PhD students learn how to write a paper and code without help from AI tools.

If they use AI to code or draft a paper, they are robbed of learning two of the most important skills a student needs to learn during their training.

This is amazing! I have been curious to know how combining MRIs with genomic data(how genomes can talk to MRIs), as you have discussed earlier, can lead to groundbreaking developments in our knowledge of how genes shape brain anatomy and disease.
Eager to see where this will go!

Obtaining genetics insights from deep learning via explainable artificial intelligence - Nature Reviews Genetics In this Review, the authors describe advances in deep learning approaches in genomics, whereby researchers are moving beyond the typical β€˜black box’ nature of models to obtain biological insights through explainable artificial intelligence (xAI).
