Sure, you can self publish and the percentages look better, but the job of a publisher is to take games which have a chance of being successful into the hands of as many people as possible.

Issue is bad publishers, not the deal

Tonight my Troops database corrupted, and my latest backup was like a month ago. I managed to use Notepad++ to reconstruct it using Map IDs, but I had to re-event a whole boss fight. This is your reminder to back up your game. You never know when the engine will arbitrarily die! #rpgmaker
