Love art, love painting, love football (Spurs) and I also do some qualitative market research on the side.

Algeria beating West Germany in 1982 was pretty massive too…

Agreed. But a giant crunchie… 🀀

Every time? I mean, the point of a Palhinha is games against big clubs where we want to disrupt their flow and break. Great v Man City and PSG. Bentancur is maybe a better choice at the base when we have to play a bit more. But only in theory. He doesn’t really do much these days.

Oh yeah! I’d forgotten about those two!

I’ve counted 6. 8?

I’m in the β€˜pragmatism and results’ gang at this stage. We just need to get some β€˜results’, then we can work on style… and frankly the season before last we were dreadful there. And last season was such a depressing capitulation. I’m happy with this version of Spurs, at this point.

Well, better than the last two seasons there. There’s that.

Same’s happening with that Williams-Barnett kid.

Haven’t watched any, but a mate’s a Rangers fan and was so excited to be getting Moore on loan. He’s now of the view he’s not ready and should go back to Spurs. 😬

20.09.2025 13:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Fear that Moore believed his own hype. And it’s now up to him to respond to the realisation he’s got to up his game.

Yeah Lankshear is the one who’s doing well. Hope he keeps it up 🀞

I think Donley really is. Exceptional at Orient last season. Player of the year.

Our loans out this season have been utterly, bafflingly bad - Donley not getting games, nor Ajayi and Yang isn’t even on the bench now. Why aren’t we better at this? #COYS

Cannot believe spurs fans on here are moaning we’re not playing pretty enough football yet this season. Has anyone watched any of the big teams yet? No one is. It’s about bedding in. Learning each other’s games. And we’re (mostly) winning still. Just enjoy it πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ #COYS

Literally no one remembers who wins the super cup. So forget it. Remember though that we looked very competitive against the best team in the world for 70 mins. That’s the important thing. Move on. Everyone else does. I can’t remember the 2024 Super cup #COYS

Not for the Ange Stans it isn’t. Still think either approach (attacking or defensive) likely to result in a 3-0 loss. So πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

13.08.2025 18:12 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No and no

Tottenham nailed it. Whether Ange did or not is πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. I’m agnostic, I’m not devout nor atheist - just saying!

Personally, think this is fair. That’s a historically awful league season, no matter how amazing the Europa League is. So what will we do differently next season is a reasonable question, no? My suggestion: hire a canny experienced coach to work alongside Ange (esp with Mason likely to leave)

I don’t see why a β€˜compromise’ with The Ange In/Out debate is to replace (or upgrade) one or two of the coaching staff. Mason looks set to take a job elsewhere. So a canny righthand man for Ange might be the best option all round? Someone who might work to balance attack and defence πŸ™ #COYS

Anyone else think it’s odd that the media narrative is β€˜Spurs can’t make the same mistake that Man U did holding on to Ten Haag’ when patently they’re worse now than they were in November time. Amorim’s won about 6-7 games in the league πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Seems such a flawed argument. #COYS

Back up to VdV*

26.05.2025 08:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

My Spurs shopping list:
A proper 6
Another creative attacking midfielder (cannot have the dearth of options we had at the end of the season)
Maybe another striker?
A genuine LCB back to VdV

Is 4 too many? #COYS

Exactly the same! My son (12) has been losing faith this season and last night was such a special moment. First trophy. Soo tired this morning for school. But smiling. Hopefully cemented that faith for life! #COYS

Agree. Any chance we’d succeed being expansive ended the moment Maddison’s knee went, really.

12.05.2025 20:48 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

We lose if we try to play expansively. We might win it if we play cautiously (like Frankfurt and Bodo). That’s how I see it. United win in chaos. They don’t if it’s boring and controlled. That’s my hunch.
