BC (Before Cowan) ๐Ÿ˜‚ If we can get to 50 points I think that would be quite an achievement given where we've come from. It's certainly making me feel a lot better about renewing my season ticket!

Look forward to your review!

I really should. I started getting into it many years ago, when I worked at Shropshire Archives, and always meant to continue. My great grandfather's middle name was 'Highway', in tribute to Humphrey Kynaston - to whom we're supposedly related. It would be worth it just to try and confirm that!

Walking out of the stadium yesterday, I felt the result was a fair reflection of the game but the stats were fairly equal and we could easily have equalised towards the end. Suppose it shows how far we've come that we can feel disappointed with a narrow defeat against good opposition!

Yup, my Great Grandfather was John Jones, and his father was... well, you've guessed it! In St Martins, they used to give people additional names to delineate them from other Jones'. My family were known as 'Clemson Jones' - I've no idea why?! Happy St David's Day, Helen! #DyddGลตylDewi

Yup. We could maybe have sneaked an equaliser at the end, via Boyle, Sang or a penalty, but hard to escape the feeling they did a number on us!

A sunny day in Shrewsbury but, alas, not on the pitch as fans and players applaud one and other following Salop's 2-1 home reverse against local rivals Walsall.

A sunny day in Shrewsbury but, alas, not on the pitch as fans and players applaud one and other following Salop's 2-1 home reverse against local rivals Walsall.

And so our glorious winning streak ends. The players looked jaded after successive Saturday-Tuesday games, and we struggled to impose ourselves against a resolute opponent (apart from Iwan Morgan, of course, who was ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ). Still, a great run and we are in a very different place now ๐Ÿ‘Š

I say 'braw' but I've no idea if that's the definitive pronunciation - wonder if @shroppiemon.bsky.social can help us out?

If you enjoy some early spring flowers, I definitely recommend a trip to St Mary's Broughton, which is currently awash with snowdrops, daffodils and crocus ๐Ÿคฉ

Spring might not yet have sprung but it was definitely thinking about it in the Dingle this lunchtime:

Today, we're in Wesley Road, Ironbridge, close to the Golden Ball pub, where a yellow Sportmark Beehive grit bin stands between two posts in a small, roadside shrubbery overlooking some garages and an area of hardstanding in this hilly area of the town.

In the background, the distinctive spire of the Gothic, Victorian-era Wesleyan Infants school can be seen. It was built in 1858, and is now private housing.

If you're ever in the area, I recommend walking towards the garages and turning left through the metal pagoda into the delightful, and little-known Galleon Park (which takes its name from a wooden ship that was constructed here as a feature... but has since rotted away!).
