Realizing family holiday traditions are changing is really hard at 42. So blessed to have had so many holidays with my grandma, but still struggling knowing little man won’t have the same experience as his older sister.

Grandma always says never wake a sleeping baby…but it’s 9:20 and this is his normal morning nap time…we are beyond 12 hours. Growth spurt or fighting something???

My grandma is 93. For the first time in my life we aren’t having Thanksgiving together or our family Christmas party. I get it. But little man is 6 mo and will never experience the joy of a holiday at great grandmas. Blessed she’s here, but heartbroken. 💔

When 12 was a month old she met her great grandpa (95). He smiled and asked me where I got her. Little man has been around his great grandma (93) his whole 6 months of life. Last night she asked if he was mine. Dementia sucks. Hug them while you can. 💔

Gymternet…I’m old lol. Working a hs bb game and they just played Devil Went Down to Georgia. None of my coworkers were born when that iconic routine was performed. 👵🏻

12 still believes in Santa. Praying one of her 7th grade classmates doesn’t kill this for her for just one more year.
