Probably no editing tomorrow, as I have to get up early and do not respond well to naps. I might make waffles, though.

So most of today's work felt like it was on my outline, but it's valuable, nevertheless!

I also made two rambling digressions in my editing diary, as one of my punchlist notes reminded me of a continuity error that inspired a minor plot point. There's ten minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I also closed a logic loop, then went back and scrubbed my edit, because NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE NEATLY CLOSED IF IT SCREWS WITH THE PACING AND ISN'T PLOT RELEVANT. That's editing, too, Anise!

It looks like I wasn't terribly far off; there are a couple montage points where I may expand the timeline by a few days, but not more. I'm aiming for a month.

I've always had a vague sense of how much time has passed in the fic; it was necessary, as I consciously wanted to expand the film's timeline.

But I spent a lot of time putting together a timeline, first of the Male Lead's movements to nail down when he and a background character shared a necessary piece of information, then expanding it to be the timeline of the whole fic.

QUITE a lot of work today! Finished my punchlist edits for Chapter 16 AND the ending of this scene in the beginning of Chaper 17! Working through the rest of my scattered notes in this section of my outline; I only have a few left, some of which will be farmed out to other chapters.

The cats correcting the dogs is EXTREMELY important and should NEVER be ignored -- in fact, it should be enforced by the owners to help train boundaries. A dog who ignores a cat's warnings will think it's okay to ignore everyone's.
