Yes! I think you'd be pleasantly surprised! The megaminx literally just modifies some of the standard cube alg's a wee bit to suit the fact that each face is connected to 5 others rather than 4! Actually kinda satisfying to feel the parallels! It's like... personality!

Ooh! The cool thing about those is that after you can do 4x4 and 5x5 you pretty much can solve any odd and even numbers after that because the parity cases are the same. It's just with more center pieces.

Ooh! Definitely look into it if you're at all interested in more speed. You'll have to memorize more algs. 57 for OLL and 22 for PLL and learn some optimizations of F2L (first two layers). But it's fun! I'm sure I'm rusty as hell on it.
