Happy first day of school! 🏫🍎✏

This morning, several of our staff dropped off their elementary, middle, and high schoolers for their first day.

Wishing all of you a safe and healthy school year!

After last week's ICE Observer Training, we now have over 70 people ready to document and observe law enforcement activity. Stay tuned for more trainings across SD!

🖊 Do not sign anything that you do not understand. A translated summary might not be all the information you need. You can ask for an interpreter to read the whole thing to you.

❌ Do not lie about your immigration status on employment forms.

✅ You do not have to answer any questions from officers. But, if you choose to answer questions, only tell officers the truth. Do not lie.

🤐 You do not have to answer any questions from ICE or law enforcement. You have the right to remain silent and not say anything. You can tell the officers, "I am using my right to remain silent."

🏃 Do not run away from ICE or law enforcement if they approach you. You have the right to ask them if you are free to go. If they say yes, walk away calmly.

Senate Bill 193 is officially law! This bill allows you to bring a language interpreter with you during the written and driving portions of the driver's exam.
