Yep I should’ve googled further before posting! It took 30 seconds to catch the scent; another 2 minutes to solve the mysterious mystery!

University investigation found prominent spider biologist fabricated, falsified data Co-authors of now-retracted papers from Jonathan Pruitt were sent summarized findings that the scientist violated McMaster University’s research integrity policy

I guess this is infamous in the community! Mystery solved! <sad spider sounds> www.science.org/content/arti...

Looking into Wright's publication record, it looks like most of his published research was done with Jonathan Pruitt, a disgraced behavioral ecologist who lost his faculty job at McMaster for manipulating and fabricating data across many papers. I suspect that would be his real problem.

Having two papers retracted for data fraud (allegedly by a co-author) can be awkward to explain in a highly competitive interview process…

51 Pegasi b Fellowship The 51 Pegasi b Fellowship provides exceptional postdoctoral scientists with the opportunity to conduct theoretical, observational, and experimental research in planetary astronomy.

ASU has been *the* top destination for 51 Peg b fellows in the last 2 years. Continue the tradition! Note that Solar System science is totally fair game. Feel free to contact me πŸ˜€ www.hsfoundation.org/programs/sci...

I don’t think it can be done in a single flyby (paper alllmost ready to submit)!

We *do* make it much harder, via zoning, to have population growth in productive cities, and it costs us a lot for all the reasons you say.

Let's start a secret society of Venus researchers. The Order of the Ashes or some such. We work in the shadows, not because we lack the funding to pay page charges or collect new data, but because we're cooler than you.
