We are in an abusive relationships with our president and we didn’t even want to be in it.

It’s definitely helpful for some of my friends in ways I would never take away from them too (knowing how to navigate their parent’s elder care etc!) I just have a very hard line against it and I hope I stay that way! I’m glad you used it for something that can take you to your next level! Congrats!
