I'm back, that was a good day out at WWT Martin Mere. It started off slow but it picked up in the afternoon, with a surprise visit from a Glossy Ibis, juvenile Peregrine and a pair of Kestrels.

Cars drive by on Jack's Valley Road while I stop off the road to take a photo of the Carson Valley and Sierra Nevada mountains which extend as far as the eye can see. The valley is golden, the mountains a dark green and the sky is a brilliant blue with lots of small puffy clouds.
