Trans people account for 1.3% of the population. That is not counting nonbinary people that do not explicitly identify as trans (other surveys put that number at an even greater 2-3%)
If there are 52,000 accredited journalists, you'd expect 676 transgender ones.
Where are they in our major papers?
My more optimistic take on the whole “did the protests do anything” debate is that here is value to showing you are not alone and that a massive number of people are willing to come out and be public even in very far right areas.
Organization takes time and a diversity of tactics is a positive.
