Vessels are stacked up, waiting, on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz.

Going through is so dangerous that underwriters have in effect cancelled transits.

They seem to be on track again. Engine problems seem to become a habit for these vessels. No surprise given their age (24yrs) & lack of proper port state controls or other inspections. Coastal states could do a lot to stop this, under current rules & by changing those (> mandatory IGP&I e.g.)
