On Wednesday, Channel5 was in Gainesboro, TN, to do a broadcast with comments and insight from Jackson County and Gainesboro residents. Multiple strong and thoughtful comments were made, emphasizing that we are a welcoming place for all no matter race, gender or creed.

At the level we have chosen, we will have the right to put our events on their calendar and promote them as well as attend meetings and take part in discussions. The remaining balance will be used to work on identifying, and supporting potential local candidates for local town and county offices.

Of the balance, we will provide 1/2 to the local Democrat judge at the juvenile court to be distributed to needy families who come through the juvenile court system. We will divide X off the remaining 1/2 to join the local Chamber of Commerce.

Our county Democratic Party council and helpers met today to craft goals and action items. We are a small poor county, mostly red. Our decisions were to keep X of our small bank account to continue paying our ongoing expenses - website, Facebook presence, etc.
