This is a great question. It’s actually the authentic conversations that I miss most. I don’t necessarily need to broadcast my thoughts or network at this point. I appreciate the thought partnership most. It’s encouraging to hear that’s here. 💜

For sure, it’s the liminal spaces before the what’s next that can be a challenge. But they can also push us to create more beautiful, possible futures. At least, I hope.

Totally. I don’t think there’s a going back, per say and I am now so much more careful and wary about what I post, but there is a grief for the community that was lost.

Yeah, can’t go back there but it doesn’t quite feel like home here.

Fighting for disability rights has to include fighting for people whose symptoms of their disability that may make you uncomfortable (i.e. people with schizophrenia).

As I just said on CNN, my father's parents were Nakba survivors. I don't want Israeli children to live in fear and I don't want Palestinian children to starve to death. There is nothing anyone could do to make me put nationalistic talking points above basic human rights.

A few years ago I visited the National Museum of African American History & Culture with my grandparents. When we stepped out of the building my grandmother kept repeating the words “I lived it. I lived it. I lived it.”

She’s still here. That history is still in her bones. You can never erase that.
