There is a Samurai Japan x Sanrio collab kuji going on at 7-11 right now and I wish to inform everyone that Pompompurin’s uniform pants have the butthole stitched in.
Would LOVE to see those brand book instructions.

The WBC and Netflix may be massively fumbling the bag, and Yuki Tsunoda is sitting on the sidelines to start the F1 season, but at least anyone in Japan can still watch the March Grand Sumo Tournament on NHK or AbemaTV.
Big storyline is whether Ukraine (and Europe) will get their first yokozuna.
Chinese Taipei's fans have brought over 40,000 fans to every game here at the Tokyo Dome, including a 15-person band featuring eight trumpeters, four trombone players, and two saxophonists. This is so fun.

This change also means users in need of assistance have to make reservations if they're traveling b/w 10pm~7am; I'm not sure how this sort of thing is usually handled but I feel like wheelchair users *also* need to be able to take trains at night or in the morning?
Anyway, fare increase next week.
Keep forgetting to post this, but last month my station closed its office and switched to 'remote service,' meaning that if you need help fixing a fare issue etc. you're supposed to contact someone via intercom.
In some stations staff are still in a back room, in others they just... aren't there?

Still can't believe this from Marinos. They do the whole "launch long to press the throw-in" kick-off routine, then they just lack any intensity whatsoever. 🤔
FC Tokyo easily switch the field & one through-ball behind for Motoki Nagakura ...aaaand it's a goal!
but the ones who do are worth ten of the ones that'll only read 500 words.

Anyway these are all as-the-crow-files figures assuming that the team will return to the base camp in Nashville after each match.
I am not bothering to figure out the scenarios that involve them advancing to the R32 as a third-place team because that path leads to madness.
Pre-WC camp: Monterrey
Base camp: Nashville
Group 1: Dallas
Group 2: Monterrey
Group 3: Dallas
Winning the group:
R32: Monterrey
R16: Houston
QF: Boston
SF: Dallas
F: NYNJ
Runner-up in the group:
R32: Houston
R16: NYNJ
QF: Miami
SF: Atlanta
F: NYNJ
Makes you wonder what the play is!
Some World Cup-related conversations at the stadium today inspired me to do a bit of napkin math regarding Japan winning Group F vs. finishing second.
If they win Group F, their total travel from their pre-WC camp to the final will be ~19,500km as the crow flies.
If they finish second? 18,300km.
Nice of YFM players to wait to bow until Nagakura was finished his hero interview so their fans didn't boo over the broadcast.

That's finally over! Tokyo bounce back from last week's defeat to Kashiwa Reysol, while YFM looked terrible, no good very bad etc etc.
Probably the most one-sided Tokyo win I have seen since the 2024 season.

Yokohama #FMarinos,
Ref finds Ryotaro Tsunoda's handball to be incidental and overturns the PK. Honestly fair on review.

07.03.2026 05:49 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0But to answer the Shimizu thing, I believe that was Shimizu-Marinos or Shimizu-Albirex? Generally they're running it back with Original 10 clubs... I think they did Antlers-Grampus last year, for example, and they also did a JEF-Omiya doubleheader w/ the women's and men's teams.

FCT is getting preferential placement for Kokuritsu games because they're reliably able to fill the stadium, and the club has made more games there part of its growth strategy (with the ultimate goal being a new stadium).
They've done 3-4 games/season the last couple years.
Ryunosuke Sato opens his FC Tokyo account and this game is geting away from YFM very quickly.
