Gustopher is unsure what this is all about. August is wearing his "COOKING PAPA" apron. Gustopher: Are you making omelettes? August: I'm teaching you how to make them. Panel 2 Gustopher is surprised. His Dad has always taken care of the majority of cooking. The Meaty Sodium Strips are just chilling on the counter. Gustopher: Really? You always make breakfast. August: I won't always be around to make it. Panel 3 Suddenly, Gustopher is hit with an overwhelming sense of dread. He's not really registering what his dad is saying. The Meaty Sodium Strips sit menacingly on the counter. August: And learning to cook is important. First we should- Panel 4 Gustopher flings his arms in the air and yells out- Gustopher: I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE! It occurs to August that he probably could have phrased his comment about not being around to make breakfast a little better. The Meaty Sodium Strips want you to know that one strip contains five hundred times your recommended daily allotment of sodium.

This is one of those rare personal posts.

For those who don’t know, I have two cats who mean the world to me. Every day when I get home from work and lay on the couch, they come running over, demanding love and affection and I’m so grateful for those little moments of joy they bring into my life.
