Looks like someone is trying to reach a goal in GTA. I've seen a number of folks use the XBOX AC to "autopilot" stuff.

I keep a copy of the (huge) book on my electronics shelf.
What convinced me was that the folks at MakeGood use Bambu. And they print a lot -- and very large pieces.

It will be interesting to see how they last long-term. I've already put about 8 spools through them. Getting a little creaking on the Z on one, so I'll have to lube that (carefully).

Gifts For Makers : 1-2-3 Setup Blocks
These come from the land of machining (metal), but are tough, heavy, and adaptable. I make 3D printed fixtures to help with assembly work. They allow you to keep things close to the work surface. Degrease before first use.
Make sure to get one that is all brass. Some of the cheaper combo ones have a ferrous head, which defeats the purpose for the magnet work.

Gifts For Makers : Brass Hammer
I do a lot of work with magnets -- tapping them into place. A brass hammer is a must. These are made for gunsmithing. While you're at it, design and print yourself an install tool. No more guessing which magnet goes where.
Gifts For Makers : Stedi Sanders
It's really not fair to call these "sanders" -- the glass ones are 10000 grit. Originally for plastic model makers, they are handy for cleaning up 3D prints. The foam centered "nail files" come in a range of grits. The glass is for polishing.
Best polls ever.
Now when are those tariffs going to be rolled back?
Gifts For Electronics Makers : Omnifixo
This is where a Facebook ad actually caught me. On the higher end ($70 US shipped) but super handy for soldering little parts like these 5mm switches and tiny JoyCon breakouts. Two words: Parallel jaws. Designed in Sweden, made in Taiwan.

And, really, how can you say no to a "hygrothermograph"! In other words, temperature and humidity.

Gifts For Electronics Makers : El Cheapo Multimeter
Don't expect a Fluke or an Agilent. But I actually use this "bench" multimeter more than my expensive gear. Great for quick continuity and voltage tests. It's $25 US. And if it breaks, who cares? www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9NS4LTK
Gifts For Electronics Makers : Inexpensive Flush Cutters
I cut spools and spools of wire. My older cutters were getting dull, so I looked for a decent inexpensive pair. I'm really liking these. Two for $7 US! www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBML9M2V
The down-side for me is that they are MUCH louder than the Prusas. But they don't bother my cats, who sleep on top of them. :-) I spend a LOT less time watching printers -- they allow me to focus on design and assembly and not worry about if things are printing okay.
18.11.2025 12:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I've retired my Prusa MK3s and now use two Bambu P1S printers. They are much more "closed source" than the Prusa, but they just work. No more fiddling with bed leveling and nozzle clearance. Changing / running out of filament is simple. I can print a full bed of parts without having to watch it.
