So for me, there is never any point to do the short, local trip, even outside the commute, by bus. It is done in the car, on bike, or by foot. And I LOVE transit. Until the dearth of frequent neighbourhood transit is solved in medium cities, people will drive.

The local loop bus comes so infrequently it is essentially impossible to use it for short trips or connecting to the hub.
