I don’t want “prayer” in the White House.

I want policies that welcome the immigrant.
Liberate the oppressed.
Center the marginalized.
Uplift the poor.

Why? It’s what Jesus was all about. If the “prayer” doesn’t deal with any of that, I don’t want it.

Every time I see someone use the word “kiddo” I squirm. And die a little inside.

Yesterday, my church in Louisville participated in a Walk In with the teachers at our local elementary school in support of the Department of Education.

The UMC affirms that education is a human right: “We believe that every person has the right to education.”

1 is saying that women can't teach Sunday School because it's under the authority of the church. 1 is asking if it's okay for women to speak outside at a retreat.

It's like we are a part of different faith and religions.

My favorite part about my birthday is the random accounts on LinkedIn that send me a happy birthday message.

Living in a place where the leaves change colors is really beautiful.

It is less beautiful when it’s November and you’re raking piles and piles of dead leaves in the dark at 6pm.
