Are the global challenges in VGC just online tourneys? If so why doesn’t TCG ever get any online tournaments?

Just finished a game against a wall deck while playing gholdengo and didn't fully read farigiraf and thought I didn't have a win condition not realizing it only blocked dmg by basic ex's....

What are the thoughts on Bloodmoon vs Luxray/Reversal in Dragapult for post-roation? I'm leaning more towards Luxray/Reversal since it can also allow Dusknoir to trap something in the active if need be.
