Have had this Graphic Novel for a few weeks now and i can only recommend it. The beautyful illusstrations by @joschuaknuppe.bsky.social and Information given about the animals and environment just make it worth the cost.

Recently watched Jurassic World Rebirth and while I think the dinosaur scenes were good the rest of the movie kinda sucked or was mid (still better than Dominion imo)

so anyway here's my Distortus rex redesign, made it more dino like rather than the rancor looking beast we got

Prior to the carnage, the three Spinosaurus, Hunter, Striper, and Rune, were pursuing a individual humpback whale, waiting for the big moment to come. And thanks to the help of the spinosaurus, the mosasaurus gets to track down where prey is. What follows is the mosasaur delivering the killing blow and shaking it to pieces. It may seem like stealing for the spinosaurus trio but this was the moment they waited for, as the large mosasaur has done the hard work for them. With their collaboration, both parties get their fair share of a whale feast.

Finally took the time to do Jurassic World fanart, just in time for Rebirth too. This did take a while for me to work on but I did like how this turned out. Expect more Jurassic stuff to come in the near future.

For those who want to join a fun spec evo community event maybe consider joining paleothalassia. The second phase has just started with this one being set in the last bit of the early permian, the Kungurian, about 90 million years after its intial seperation. Consider joining

In January after the ending of Paleothalassia phase one we did a little mini event which saw an exploration of the continent during the Cambrian in the fictional Tohorā shale.

It was fun seeing the speculative beasties that were made for this mini event

A relative to the Clatterjaw, the Bloodbelly may be a beast just as fierce. In their knotted masses they descend on the largest of beasts, gulping blood from wounds of their making. Thankfully, they must go lethargic after a blood meal, sleeping the day away before hunger calls once more.

A Homalocephale, a flat-headed pachycephalosaurid, stands beside a rocky hill amid a pile of large stones. Its scaly, lightly striped hide blends in perfectly with its environment. It is barely visible even as it stands erect in plain sight, only its legs and tail obscured by stones.

No time for a full nostalgic palaeoart thread, but I still want to share one of my all-time favourite works of palaeoart: Wayne Barlowe's Homalocephale!
