Ooh I got a good one. A good few years ago now, went to a garden centre which had a shed opposite the entrance. In the shed, blocked in only by the rotting husk of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee, was the bare shell of a BMW E9 3.0 CSi. They also had a 2001 Nissan Micra and 2000 Ford Transit in there though

And the year thing I truly don't understand. It happens a lot with imports, people listing the year it was brought to this country instead of the year it was actually built, but otherwise? Just look at the plate. Of course your 14-plate Audi A1 wasn't made in 2023, you must know that?

There's also another one that I question and it seems to be Autotrader-specific- listing either the wrong year or the wrong mileage. If you can't be bothered to proof-read the ad so it doesn't say that 67-plate Golf has done 8 million miles, I'm gonna assume you don't care

It's one of the biggest red flags IMO. Bad photos, no photos, no description at all... with the possible exception of covering the plates up (I always think that could be to hide something dodgy) it's one of the worst things a seller can do

It tells me the seller either can't be bothered or doesn't have a clue. Either way, not someone I'd want to buy from

2016 Nissan Leaf, a school friend's mum got one to replace her very thirsty Toyota Previa. Very comfortable, very quiet, impressive interior space, all felt very nice

The whole thing gives me racing car vibes, especially the boxy flared arches. A lot of racing cars are butt ugly when you look past the decals though

The whole Accord and Civic situations... in the year 2000 there were three of each! Accord, "Euro" Accord and Accord Euro which wasn't actually a European model; and two of the Civics were loosely related but the connection between them wasn't a Honda at all

And yet Honda seems to do the opposite, instead of selling 3 cars under 45 names they sell 45 unrelated cars under 3 names and make it incredibly confusing

General rule of life is, if Toyota made it, no matter where it was sold new, someone in Liverpool will be using one as a taxi. And when you think you know them all, there turn out to be 57 more that are near-identical
