I hear you, but what's your take on different forms of evidence, including practitioner experience and patient/client views (Sackett et al)?

We run two collaborative working sessions with primary education students and SaLT students together here at BCU. Agree more needs to be done. A challenge is that the curriculum for associate teachers is already so full, especially for the PGCE route.

I welcome a day to celebrate communication in schools. As well as spoken language, we should encourage and celebrate signed language and all other forms of communication. Also, if children choose to communicate with writing implements, that's great too imo. #NoPensDay = #communicateAsYouChooseDay

I'm STILL referring to it as the 'new' criteria! Undergraduate students look at me like I'm talking about the dark ages π. Generally more awareness of DLD in new cohorts though. #DevLangDis

The harmful ableist language you unknowingly use
Some of our most common, ingrained expressions have damaging effects on millions of people β and many of us don't know we're hurting others when we speak.
Yes, I understood you meant busy π. Does this help clarify what I was meaning? www.bbc.com/worklife/art... I know no harm was intended but so much of our language unnecessarily reinforces negative stereotypes of mental illness and disability.

Sorry for your loss, Rachel. Sounds like he was an amazing man. My dad was an engineer too and your experience of finding stuff resonated with me. Dozens of pencils neatedly sharpened and more measuring tapes than anyone could ever need! May they rest in peace.

Newish to IPA but I am inclined to agree. The process of engaging with the data through analysis has been transformative for me. How can you be reflexive if you are not interacting with the data yourself?
