I don't recall any year or decade when any of those chains were "good" instead of simply go-to answers for the "it's 9pm, you're drunk/high off your gourd and operating an oven is too much work..." scenarios.

I received a copy of that for Christmas a couple of years back and it is excellent!

I just finished reading the entire Hyperion series (which I was turned on to thanks to you) and it was a fantastic ride.

Just caught up on Season 3 of #Foundation and I think my favorite take away is that the key to making sure a Cleon remains a regular asshole, instead of a particularly vicious and genocidal one, is to make sure he smokes weed every day and that he has himself the occasional shroom trip. XD

Alien: Earth was an awesome watch though it has inspired debate between my brother and myself about whether Imperial Stormtroopers or Prodigy Corpogrunts are the worst marksman of sci-fi. XD

It's been almost 20 years since I've seen "Blue Velvet" and I still read that label exclusively with Dennis Hopper's voice in my head. XD

Self-obliviousness, piss-poor reading comprehension and a near total incompetence at interpreting metaphor seems to be a hallmark for the averge tech-bro.

That and those types of arcs in general are typically errected to memorialize military conquests and victories. Assuming that it ain't for "his own personal Vietnam" it does beg the question of what "conquests" he's wanting to memorialize.

Oof, yeah. While I generally find the Halo novels more interesting that the games themselves, "The Flood" was easily one of the most tedious reads I've powered through. It's a novella (at best) trying to be a full-length novel. x_x

Well how about that. I only just noticed that I've officially accumulated more followers here than I ever have on Twitter and none of them appear to be racist porn bots to boot!
