NOTABLE -- Pam Bondi refuses to answer direct questions about if the FBI has incriminating photos of Trump with half-naked young women, but instead deflects from them by attacking Sen. Whitehouse

will never get over the Washington Post Editorial Board recommending confirming Pam Bondi

Remember when the Boston Globe ran this supposedly over-the-top front page to attack the idea of Trump ever being president, and now this is just the news every day? We've fallen so, so far because of this man

Great op-ed by @jackiegoldman.bsky.social. While I support @sabinamatos.bsky.socialโ€™s work on hunger and food deserts, her Israel views have long been problematic. With the famine in Gaza, backing up the Netanyahu regime in yet another trip to Israel is especially irresponsible. t.co/mv4OFjzEZJ

Good morning.

The government is shut down because Trump wants to act like a king and steal from you.

Democrats have no obligation to support a budget that funds the destruction of our democracy - and DOUBLES health premiums to fund a tax cut for billionaires.

I have lived and worked in and around Chicago for 27 years and I have been assaulted less often than Sen Paul has been in his own back yard.

And I say all this as someone whoโ€™s been a vocal McKee critic for more than a decade.

This is also a wild position for a YIMBY like @samd.bsky.social to take. McKee has been a key supporter of our new laws that have made historic progress on upzoning. Foulkes has dodged the issue. All likely alternatives Iโ€™ve heard of would be even better than McKee on the issue.

Yes, McKee sucks, but we should not listen to people out of state who havenโ€™t learned about the truly evil things Helena Foulkes did to push opioids when she ran CVS pharmacy.

No Democrat should ever support Foulkes. We deserve someone who isnโ€™t terrible.

Mockler: He was publicly fuming privately?

Why Corporate America Is Caving to Trump

More on rollover elites:
โ€œItโ€™s astonishing how spineless the masters of the universe and big bad billionaires really are, โ€ฆ itโ€™s pretty clear they will not stand up for anything.โ€

This is Trumpโ€™s fault but itโ€™s also Democratsโ€™ fault: when the initial wave of resignations happened after the Adams quid pro quo, the next logical step in the ladder of escalation was for the opposition to rain fire and brimstone down on the corrupt admin.

Insteadโ€ฆ nothing happened. Silence.

until there's a Republican congress and a Democratic president, in which case it will suddenly be very important.

the country cannot function as a real democracy with corrupt, partisan serial liars controlling the Supreme Court; it has to be the first priority of a new administration.

Here are two of the most influential people in liberal media, David Remnick and Ezra Klein, telling each other outright lies about what the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate said because years of exposure to conservative grievance media pounded the original facts of the case out of their skulls

The indictment of James Comey proves that being a sycophantic wuss who bends over backwards to accommodate Trump will not stop him from trying to throw you in jail in a political prosecution. Probably makes it easier because it shows weakness.

A divide in journalism right now that's worth watching is between reporters who understand how bad things are but are mindful of their reputation and not wanting to be perceived as too extreme or hyperbolic and reporters who feel things are so urgent they have to use urgent, clear language.

26.09.2025 11:15 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2256    ๐Ÿ” 444    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 49    ๐Ÿ“Œ 29

Yes.

And there are also a lot of mainstream news orgs where accurate descriptions of the direness of the situation fall outside of acceptable guidelines, because it will be perceived as shrill, panicked, biased, etc.

So they normalize and/or downplay.

Weโ€™ve made real progress on upzoning and code reform. Itโ€™s been quite a fight, but it was worth it because our policies are working. We have a lot more to do, so weโ€™re not stopping.
