This has been the Monday-est Monday that has ever Monday-ed around here in a long time.

I can relate, kiddo is stationed in Arkansas and it looks like he'll retire in six years and stay there as well. Seeing them only a couple times a year is hard 😢 May have to rethink retirement plans again.

No fucking way I’m answering the door at 10pm on Halloween (or any other night). Lights went off at 8pm, the decorations are still lit. Damn teenagers, I was fine with the ones earlier, during normal hours; at this hour they’re up to no good.

Still dealing with whatever version of “The Crud” I brought back from my trip. I logged on for work, and my manager kicked me out to get more rest.

She has a two week PTO coming up in mid-November, she wants to make sure we’re all healthy while she’s gone 😂

And my souvenir from vacation is a nasty cold, which meant I called off work today ☠️ I didn't want to, because I know another team member is on PTO today as well; but I'm pretty much useless right now, so that wouldn't help anyone.

Safely home, in my comfy house clothes and will probably be asleep sooner than later.

Checked in at Little Rock Airpot, breezed through TSA this time(last time was different). Hopefully the weather gods and ATCs behave and I’ll be home in time for dinner.

I’ve committed the Cardinal Sin of grand parenting. I unwittingly bought a toy that plays music. The tag said it lights up, nothing about sound 🤪

Enjoying a quick weekend visit with the kiddo and grands in Arkansas. If I can handle this, I might do more long weekends next year, instead of a 10 day marathon.

Hubs and I are hoping to have our first real vacation since 2019 next year.

Safely home, peopled out and ready for a quiet evening 😊

Final day of travel, headed back from the Inland Empire to San Diego and my flight home. All goes as planned, I’ll be home for dinner with the Hubs, sleeping in our bed and snuggling the cats (if they let me). I love being in person with my team but after working remote for so long I’m peopled out.

Up at 5am 😫 this only happens a couple times a year, and always travel related.

Today I'm headed to the mothership in San Diego for a couple days training, then out to the Inland Empire to conduct training at one of the satellites. Home Thursday evening and most likely off on Friday to avoid OT.
